Reviews Wanted from Writers Day

Kia ora koutou!

Thank you all so much for coming to our Writers Day event last Thursday at the Embassy. We thought it was a fantastic day with such inspired writers, we very much hope you enjoyed yourselves.

As you may have heard on the day, Hooked on Books very much wants to receive reviews from you. They are calling out for few hundred words for each session, or 500 words on the whole day. They can be emailed to editor@hookedonbooks.org.nz. All reviews will be published online on the new Hooked on Books website.

We here at SchoolFest would also love to receive the writing too. We’ll use it to add it to our overall feedback and evaluation of SchoolFest. So please also send any writing to schoolfest@festival.co.nz – there are possible prizes from the SchoolFest team for your writing!

Thanks and we look forward to receiving your writing.

Warmest regards
The SchoolFest Team

Unique Words From Other Languages

Looking to extend your vocab?

e.g.Yūgen (Japanese): gives a name to a mood in which one feels that the universe as a whole possesses a mysterious, elusive, but real, beauty. Moonlight, snow on distant mountains, birds flying very high in the evening sky and watching the sun rise over the ocean all feed this sensibility.
